Michael, Your Thinking Nipper inspired me to come up with this:

Robert B. sent me this in an email and I thought it was worth sharing.
Captions anyone?

I had the idea that I would make a vinyl toy out of Thinking Nipper so I made this model. Well, that’ll never happen but I have this which is feeling more apropos each day. Thinking Nipper stands at just under 4″ tall, proudly.
Sunn O))) Meets Nurse With Wound
The Iron Soul Of Nothing
Nurse With Wound’s Steven Stapleton and Colin Potter go to town on Sunn O)))’s ØØVOID LP and it comes out of town remixed as a double LP wreaking havoc on comfort. Yum x2. “Jaw-droppingly good.” ~ Boomkat. I’d call it a jawbreaker (if you lean in close enough).

When I set up my new office/listening room for AudioStream, I decided to leave my other room (thanks for understanding, honey) in tact. The only change being I removed the PS1 making this a vinyl-only setup/room/haven. And that has turned out to be a good idea. A very good idea.

Blaze Foley
Clay Pigeons
I’m almost certain that Stephen first pointed me to Blaze Foley and I was glad then and gladder now that Secret Seven Records has released Clay Pigeons on LP (limited to 500 copies for now so HURRY!). If you don’t know his story, go to the Clay Pigeons page for a starter and read all about it. While you’re there you can listen to the title track and I bet you’ll want to hear more, often. Here’s what his friend Townes Van Zandt had to say about Blaze,
“He is one of the most spiritual cats I’ve ever met; an ace finger picker; a writer who never shirks the truth; never fails to rhyme; and one of the flashiest wits I’ve ever had to put up with. He’s only gone crazy once. Decided to stay. But the main thing is the music. Blaze is a lover of things alive, and pleads their cause with every word. I am proud to call Blaze my friend” — Townes Van Zandt, 1984

The JBL Paragon as worn by Adam (I sense a new series brewing).

David Fenech, Jac Berrocal, Ghédalia Tazartès
Superdisque
Like a French BLT. David Fenech (electric guitar), Jac Berrocal (trumpet) and Ghédalia Tazartès (vocals) create a sound world that’ll make David Lynch’s hair stand on end. Tribal existential industrial found jazz folk rock. Feed your head.

Some things are clearly wrong.
